It is with great pleasure that I announce our new Age Group and Senior Dynamo Head Swim Team Coach, Brad Smith. Brad is a recent graduate from UVM where he swam for the Men's Varsity Swim Team until recently the team was dropped due to budgetary problems within the Athletic Department at UVM. Without hesitation, Brad took it upon himself to start a club team in which he financed all travels and meets through fundraising. I feel in my heart Brad is the right man for the job as his background and major is Education, and he has proven that he can grow a program and fundraise as well. Brad seems very passionate about the sport of swimming and is anxious to start the season, meet the swimmers and parents, and grow this program to its once existing prominence. I will be meeting with Brad to set up a time for all parents and swimmers to get together with Brad for a meet and greet. I will keep you posted as to any news to follow. Both Junior (MWF from 4-5pm) and Age Group/Senior (Practice times may be tweaked just a bit with agreement made between the new coach, parents and swimmers) but will start as usual with AG from 3:30-5pm and Senior from 6-8pm) start on Monday, October 1 so registration is now open.
